No issues at all with the quality of the product. Personally I try to support local manufacturing and am willing to pay more for it. Baffin’s website says they make products in Stoney Creek Canada. These boots are made in China. The price is expensive for something made with low cost labor.I bought these lovely boots for myself in the fall, stashing them in a closet for winter. When we had our first snowfall this season, my 13-year old son went rummaging for a pair of boots that would fit. He emerged with these, with a triumphant “These fit! And why are they so light?” Alas I haven’t gotten the chance to wear them myself, but he loves them, wearing them in snow and slush, even to school. (He obviously hasn’t looked hard enough to see the tag inside that says “women’s”.) Oh well, I’m sure by next year he’ll have outgrown them and I will get my turn!I haven't gotten a chance to try these out yet in snow or ice conditions, but so far I'm loving them! They keep my feet nice and toasty, and they are very lightweight! Just what I was looking for as I hate boots that are heavy and clunky. Wish they had one like it in a lower boot design. These are awesome! I tried 4 different brands before getting these. I am a size 8.5 sneaker and ordered a size 9 and they are a perfect fit. They are super light weight. Definitely water proof. I live in New England and wanted snow boots specifically to play in the snow with my kids. We played in about 2 ft of snow for about 3 hours before my toes were too cold and I needed to come in and my feet were submerged in 2 feet of snow the whole time. The only negative that I have is that they are. Bit hard to put on.These boots are perfect except for one minor--or as it turns out, major--characteristic: they make the loudest crinkling/scrunching noise when you're walking in them. Not sure why or if this will subside over time, but for now, as much as I like the look and feel of these boots, it's embarrassing to be heard in them. This boot is super comfy, but my feet get wet-and I am not even walking in deep snow- vehicle to building distance mainly and even after rubbing a water sealant- still have damp feet.I could not even get my foot into the boot. I currently own Baffin but it was like the arch was so narrow.
