This is a really nice boot, I think the quality is good, stitching is good, made in Mexico where most decent boots are made. You can tell it had been tried on by a few people before it arrived for me to try on. I'm trying to find a replacement for an older pair of Frye short boots that are really beat. Frye doesn't seem to make them anymore, and this boot, although it has a rubber sole, looks similar. The difference is it's wider on top and wider in the actual boot area, so if you have narrower feet with skinny ankles, it fits a bit large. I don't think the length of the boot is a half size larger, maybe only 1/4 size larger, but if you have medium to slightly wide feet, get your normal size. Otherwise size down. Unfortunately I'm returning them. I might try the smooth leather version if I can find them in my size, they may fit a little bit tighter.I have two artificial knees so finding boots that I like, are the right height, and are comfortable to wear is a challenge. These are wonderful. I am a very happy customer. On top of all of that, they are really cute.Absolutely love the style and color! The whisky is a beautiful fall color, not red, rusty colored. I have Dingo boots in size 6-1/2 that fit great, but these are more pointed than round, and should have got a size 6. May reorder or get some insoles. Overall, I love these booties and plan to wear them with a pretty black dress and Cognac jacket at an upcoming event!well 1st of all I am a size 81/2. so thats what I got. Put these babies on....and its like a 1/2 inch too big..had to double check to make sure I wasn't tripping for no reason and ordered the wrong size. nope it says 8 1/2. But too big so, get an 8Love the material and texture of these boots, but it was a struggle to get them on my feet. Sending them back.This is the whiskey color. Very different from / lighter than the photo depiction. Shaft is shorter and wider than expected. Also, I could’ve ordered a whole size down. Unfortunately having to return.Would have liked them if they fit.The heels are painted, I don’t know why but it appears these may have already been used and returned. There seems to be slight wearing beyond the poor paint job.I’m giving these two stars instead of one because the shoes new and never touched would have been really nice I think.
