These are a great shoe especially for the price. I tried Keen, Merrell, Solomon, among others. I previously had a pair of Keen hiking boots that left my feet and toes extremely sore. I bought and returned probably six pairs of boots before finding these. I got a wide, which my foot is narrow except for the ball of my foot. The width actually allows me to wear a thin sock with a normal ankle sock over it for maximum comfort. I hiked 17 miles in the Tetons on some occasionally rough, rocky, wet terrain - my feet were never wet and always had great support. The other thing I noticed is my feet didn't get overly sweaty either. Overall great boot.
